Wash, clean, and dry strawberries, making sure to preserve the green tops.

Place wax or parchment paper on a sheet pan.

Place 1 cup milk chocolate chips in a microwave proof bowl, and heat for 45-60 seconds.  Remove and stir.

Return to microwave for 15 second intervals, stirring between each interval.  Do not over microwave.

Holding strawberries by the green top, dip into the melted chocolate.  Let excess chocolate drip off.  Immediately sprinkle with colored sugar, or roll in mini chocolate chips.

To drizzle with melted white chocolate, follow melting instructions above, adding 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to thin the chocolate for easy drizzling.  Using a teaspoon, drizzle thin streams of chocolate over chocolate-covered strawberries.

Place decorated strawberries on prepared sheet pan to set for 30 minutes.
