We continue our series on getting the most out of Fall by decorating your home for the season. Remember, these tips are meant to be easy things that you can do right now ~ no need to go out shopping! Today we’re featuring the magic of candlelight.
As the days grow shorter and we draw our curtains against the dark, candlelight warms our soul. We love the richly scented varieties that capture the essence of Fall days.
Look around for candles shaped like apples, pears, pumpkins, or other Fall produce.
Do you keep a box of seasonal decorations? If so, scrounge around for candles left over from last fall. We did just that and look what we found, awesome apple-shaped and -scented beauties.
Group a variety of candles together to evoke signature Fall aromas: cinnamon, apple, fall leaves, and crisp air. Use different shapes and heights to make a pleasing arrangement.
It’s the small gestures in life that add up to wonderful traditions. I often light candles and curl up with my daughter this time of year. We talk about our day or read in the quiet comfort of each other’s company. Those moments are priceless.
Whether it’s daytime or evening, the simple act of lighting a candle makes your home feel welcoming, cozy, even romantic. On these glorious Fall days, light candles and enjoy!
