Festive Winter Decor

Winter is no time to hibernate, at least when it comes to decorating your home. Creating festive decor for your home’s exterior can chase away the winter blahs. You’ll fall in love with your home all over again when you see it lovingly adorned with greenery, berries, bows, and other elements. Below you’ll find unique ways to create cheer this winter season.

The vintage Radio Flyer sled perched over the front door is a clever way around the tight entry on this historic house. Old cross country skis would create a similar effect.
Childrens’ toys make fun and nostalgic holiday decor. Place an old tricycle, bicycle, or small wheelbarrow near your entry and adorn it with greenery, baubles, and bows.
This window box sports natural and faux elements. Since many natural berries fade and drop quickly, we often use craft store versions. The reindeer add a cute touch to this red, white, and green display.
Winterberry and floral eucalyptus nestle among cedar, above. While not typically used in outdoor arrangements, the eucalyptus drapes nicely and coordinates with the white window box.
Birch logs can be used season long, and will stand up to the elements. When cut greenery turns brown, refresh it with newly cut greens. You can find birch logs at some craft stores.
Whimsy and humor are always in season. This dignified bit of garden statuary looks dashing with its cedar wreath and bow.

We hope you’re inspired to decorate your home’s exterior this winter season!
