~ All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt. ~
Charles M. Schulz
We second Mr. Schulz completely! As chocolate fanatics, we can’t imagine Valentine’s Day without it. How are you planning to spoil your loved ones on Valentine’s Day? We’ve got some sweet ideas for you.
Chocolate is king in our house. Chocolate-covered strawberries are so easy and fun to make. The tuxedo-clad strawberry above came from our local confectionary, and we think it’s adorable. But we’re pretty fond of other yummy desserts too.
French macarons are surprisingly easy to bake and assemble. But these beauties were available at the local Whole Foods, and we couldn’t resist.
Look at those sunset and seashell colors! They tasted just as wonderful as they look. And, they were perfect with coffee.
Add champagne or sparkling cider because this is a celebration after all. Since Valentine’s Day is a time to reflect on our loved ones, we brought out mom’s vintage china. Pink is definitely a Valentine color!
Cheesecake is always popular, so we selected individual mini cakes in a variety of flavors. That way, everybody can choose their favorite.
We like to put fun touches on mini cakes and top them with clouds of frosting, strawberries, or candies.
~ Have a delicious Valentine’s Day celebration full of family, love, and joy! ~
