Fall Gatherings

A New England Halloween

The air is crisp, the sun bright, and it’s time to gather friends together for a little fall fun! Find easy, crowd pleasing ~ and kid pleasing ~ treats below.

The fresh veggie tray above is fun to make. Hollow out a sugar pumpkin and nestle a container of dip inside. I chose a store bought dip and used the lid to trace a circle to guide where to carve. Save the pumpkin top for a fun garnish.

Keep the pumpkin theme going by carving a bowl for chips. Hollow out a larger pumpkin and lay a cloth napkin or towel inside to nestle your favorite chips.

Caramel grapes are the perfect size for small guests. Wash and dry green or red seedless grapes. Melt enough caramels for dipping, about one cup. Insert a toothpick into each grape and dip the bottom into the melted caramel. Dip the caramel covered grape into chopped nuts or another garnish. Mini M&Ms, mini chocolate chips, or Heath Bits would make delicious and pretty finishing touches.

Fall and apple cider are a perfect fit. Garnish cold or warm cider with thinly sliced apples for a special touch. Add cinnamon sticks if you have them on hand.

Enjoy your Fall gathering!
