We’re reaching back to some of our favorite fall looks for a quick burst of inspiration. Nature supplies so much in the way of seasonal beauty, namely her rich oranges, browns, reds, and yellows. How can we not use those colors indoors to decorate our home for Thanksgiving?
It’s easy to make a spectacular vase of seasonal blooms. Simply hollow out a pretty gourd, insert a glass, plastic, or metal vessel filled with water, and fill with flowers, foliage, berries, and twigs. The blooms above and below came from our local grocery market.
Carry the color theme around the rooms where you’ll be entertaining. The orange and green color scheme of the Thanksgiving centerpiece is echoed in the cornucopia arrangement below.
Nature provides such an array of beautiful and interesting fruits in the fall. Look no farther than your local produce stand or farm market to fill your cornucopia to the brim. For the display above, we shopped at Whole Foods, which always carries an abundance of mouth watering fruits and vegetables.
Delight hungry guests with creative and easy appetizers, like the spread above. Just take a container of your favorite dip, cut a circle the diameter of the dip container on a mini pumpkin, and insert the container. Cover your table with an inexpensive plaid blanket for a rich pop of fall color. They’re easy to wash afterward.
Enjoy the last of this golden season, and we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
