A summer afternoon spent reading is one of life’s great luxuries. Get reading this summer with your kids, on a beach, on a hammock, anywhere you can fit a book and your imagination.
Do you read your coffee table books? We do. They’re often full of delightful insights and anecdotes that you’d miss entirely if you only looked at the glossy photos. Summer is for daydreaming, and these books will spark your imagination.
The above shelf above sits in the hallway outside our daughter’s room and mingles vintage and new childhood books. We hope you read aloud with your kids as long as they’ll let you. The spoken word is delightful and essential, in our opinion, to human happiness.
Incorporate books and magazines into your decor, don’t shut them away behind cupboard doors. A room without books feels incomplete.
